... Haha my friends who read DMBJ have talked a lot about Xu Lei in similar ways. I need to get started on that too. Really enjoyed Ultimate Note, that HeiHua movie and whatever I've seen of Sha Hai

Re DMBJ/Xu lei, feel free to check out dmbj_tombraiders (I'm not a mod, but I do occasionally post and compile stuff there). There are some posts to guide you through the novels.

Never too late! Haha. The good thing about MDZS is that it's probably the biggest or one of the biggest danmei (maybe webnovel?) fandom in EN spaces so there's plenty of meta, fan works, etc. to go through
