A combination of both - something has been up with her from the start and
Highlight for spoilers!* The lastest chapter featured a maybe dream in which Song Juguang says farewell to Jiang Changbai and is evasive about where she's going ("The place this minister needs to go is far further away than Shanlin county; with this goodbye, I'm afraid the it will be very hard for the two of us, regent and minister, to meet again,")*

Read a bit more of Fei Wo Si Cun's Goodbye, My Princess (tr. Tianshu) and still enjoying it! Picked up the novel version of Xuanse's Ya She (Silent House / The Antique Store) bc based on the radio adaptation it seemed like the writing style was simple enough for my reading level. Little did I know that the prologue would hit me with the 曰s and the 乃s lol.

哑舍 - There is a daomu biji fic in my phone called 寒舍 which is also supernatural (found it because of a song, and that song was so mysterious!), and every time you mention this story, I get reminded to read it. xD

Also checked out the radio adaptation and it looks 👁 interesting ~ Have saved it for later. It seems to be still ongoing? I'm a bit confused over how the season (?) is called 册 and how it has 30 episodes 🤣 and still ongoing...

Yeah I just think of it as a serialized full-cast audiobook. Each episode is actually just around 10 mins! They split each novel chapter into four parts (episodes), which works out for me bc it's easier for me to jump in and out.

Currently reading The Heartthrob NPC in the VR Game (全息游戏里的万人迷npc) by Su HuaiHuang (苏怀荒). A cannon fodder NPC became self-aware and is now testing the limit of what he could do within the game engine's perimeter to hopefully change his doomed fate. Also, he's a fox in sheep's skin, i.e., green tea, and the love interest is the only one who is fully aware of his true nature.

The novel is quite interesting so far. It's a bit like a jigsaw puzzle. There is the main character's battle of wits against the game engine AI, the love interest side of the story (he's the CEO of the game company and the game engine creator), the in-game main story about the conflict between gods and demons with lots of conspiracies flying around, the players perspective, the game development team perspective, and the live streamer perspective. All the moving pieces come together in a neat package that revolves around the MC.

That sounds like a super interesting story. Love when there are multiple stories/perspectives/layers going on

That is the kind of structure i expected when i first heard of the concept of transmigrating into fictional words! Now that i know about this one, it is instantly a must read.
(I learned that the genre conventions are a bit different and i enjoy them at times (mention goes out to BE demon crazy survival system) but i was still longing for this type.)

The game dev angle is quite unique. While the novel doesn't go into too much detail on that front, there is just enough to give the reader a sense of the various departments in the game company and the marketing tactics they employ.

Read more of This Cultivator Disgusts Me on a long flight, and it's remarkably fun so far. The author is managing to make the saintly love interest actually human and believable (while still being very saintly) and I hope to eventually be proven correct in my guess that she has even more secret hidden depths.

The demonic protagonist is going to great lengths to make sure the saintly love interest doesn't suffer from too much harm (because any harm that's caused directly or indirectly by her will bounce back on her) and her minions are taking this as a sign that she's romantically interested in the saintly love interest and acting accordingly, much to her chagrin. It's hilarious.

Saintly but human and believable is a difficult line to tread. I know I've bounced off a number of saintly (and silently suffering) types.

I started reading Nanchan this morning. Not far enough in yet to have meaningful opinions, but really click with TJQ's style and the way she writes couple dynamics.

I started reading a graded reader in Pleco! I tried one that said it needed a 1200 word vocab and that was too hard so now I'm reading a Mulan retelling that requires 500 words of vocab. I have to look up basically every word because my Mandarin vocab is lot smaller than my classical vocab but I can basically understand what's happening. (Currently Mulan has dressed as boy for the first time and is having a moment of gender euphoria) I suspect this version will not have much weaving, witch is too bad I like the weaving.

i have reached chapter 64 of 向师祖献上咸鱼 , only 17 main story chapters left and then 3 extras! so excited to start something new.

i'm also finally continuing the audiodrama (currently on episode 6/11) i started a while back, 他和她的猫. its a romance and i love it so far! i will probably end up reading the original webnovel too

Got 3/4 way through my book, which did Highlight for spoilers!*get an angst drop! Near the end of the second arc, the protagonist and love interest have sex for the first time to restore the protagonist's cultivation... but the protagonist was cultivating the emotionless path and lost his feelings as a result.

They separated for a few years after this, but now they're back together and the love interest is clearly in bad shape from all the stress he's been under. He might also literally die if he doesn't become emperor, but he doesn't want to be emperor.*
