Jin Yong, Legend of the Condor Heroes, ch. 6

I got delayed a little, so my post is a bit late.

An action-packed chapter with lots of battles and intrigue! Also Mei Chaofeng returns (such a good scene of her practising in the moonlight). The identity of Guo Jing‘s secret teacher is finally revealed. I was sure he had something to do with Qiu Chuji and I was right!
Guo Jing seems to finally be ready for the duel. Less ready for romance. *g* Khojin seems to be a passionate young woman, not sure Guo Jing is the right choice for her.

I was heavily disappointed in the Seven for jumping to conclusions so readily and forgetting basically everything they knew about Guo Jing‘s nature to accuse him of something terrible.

I hadn‘t expected Temüdjin to unite the Mongols at this very early point. I‘m looking forward to what will happen in the south. Lots of exciting stuff to come, I‘m sure!

What did you think?

The Seven really have a bad temper, really quick to make judgment and cause trouble. However, if Qiu Chuji and the Seven were less hot tempered, probably the main plot of the novel couldn't be instigated.

Guo Jing is lucky to be have his secret master.

I think Guo Jing isn't as stupid as some people thought. He just needs a patient good teacher to thrive. Too bad that these seem to be in short supply in the novel so far.
