The simplifications in mechanics made for this iteration work in my favor (fewer quirks to obsessively memorize) plus I'm better at strategic deck-building -- so, so far, it's been fun.

Oh, deck building games are fun! I've enjoyed other deck building type games, but have not tried Pokemon TCG before.
