I'm realizing because of your comment that y fav Chinese-language books tend to be modern-day + first-person, probably because the decent ones are a little easier to read haha.

And like [personal profile] douqi said it's not
strictly first person PoV.......... I want to bait you by saying there's an e-sports element because there are battles on the internet. 😂

I mean, some of the flamewars I've witnessed and sometimes had to moderate certainly qualify as MOBA/Battle Royale-type events.

I'm finding it difficult because I'm wholly unfamiliar with everything and slang is harder to Google. But it's not like every individual comment is particularly significant, I'm managing fine for someone who still doesn't know what 刷 or 刷子 in this context is lol. I think the important stuff does get explained or addressed in the next chapters, so it's mostly about the experience of internet literature and commenting culture.
